Food and service has always been good. If you like the hometown drop in and eat atmosphere. Although the new floor concept is more up to date it misses out on the cozy feeling it had before the fire. Roni is always smiling and food has always be consistent. The prices are more then fair with the amount of servings portions. View all feedback.
What Nicole Herzog doesn't like about Apple Barrel Cafe:
Loved this place before the fire, but I've found it really hard to eat there as often as I used to since they reopened because the prices have gone way up since the reopened! Disappointed they did that to the prices, but they do have great food! Their pancakes are not like any other pancakes, so good! And the pot roast, very tender and flavor is on point! Just wish they wouldn't have raised their prices View all feedback.
Excellent food. I love all the options. It was very busy, but we sat in time. We sat at the counter and were served soon. They could make the food our vegetarian taste and it was good. I love the waffles that are some of the best I had. My wife had a pancake, it was good, but not my favorite. I would suggest here for a variety of flavors and taste. Food and service are both very good.
I often go in there, I was a secret shop thief, but not when I inspected this place. I can really say they are short-occupied, they have even reduced their hours in certain places. I'm pretty sure there's only one cook now at this particular place and they're currently new rentals. The food came wrong when I first ordered, but the girl waiting for me was new what I totally understood and just sent it back. I can honestly say they're trying their best. Every restaurant is hit hard because of the pandemic and they just try to get back to their feet. It's a hard transition. Especially try to find new employees to acclimate them into their new environment and still work. I usually locate the chicken crepe, the first time I received it, I found it moderate, but the second time I visited today, they were very well done. Better spices, presentation and overall taste. No ****. It takes time, but they'll be there. Seeing all the low reviews of this place (especially written during the worst of the pandemic) made it very discouraging. They try and it works. Give them a chance, guys. I find this place very cozy and the waiting staff was all helpful and great. Go back. Good job guys, I just wanted you to know that someone appreciates the hard work you insert to get your place back on the feet during the pandemic.
Good house style cooking. I had the Chicken Fried Steak. It was very delicate with a wonderful coating. Of course I had the potatoes and the engraving. Very good. Also had a side of the onion rings. They were fantastic. I already think of a good burger and other rings
This is our go-to breakfast place! The food is great with large portions and the service is awesome. Connie is so sweet and works so hard for her customers. The entire staff is always friendly and even when they’re short-handed, they’re working their tails off. Anyone with common sense knows that restaurants and other businesses are struggling to find workers right now. We could all show some grace for the workers that are showing up every day and doing their best to provide service to us instead of posting untrue reviews and rude comments.
You have to try! We eat here at least a few times a month, usually more. Even though they are busy and usually are, waiting is not long and the service is still fast and friendly. In addition, the portions are huge and the food is delicious. My favorite is breakfast, the hash browns are always perfect. My husband loves her grilled chicken salad, pictured. It's not like any other grilled chicken salad I've ever seen! Don't let me get rid of her fries, they're homemade and look like huge onion rings.
