Shared an excellent evening with 11 adult family members. Round table with plenty of room for all. Wonderful food, with so much choice! Everyone ordered something different with both entrees and mains and all thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Great service and no complaints from anyone. Will definitely be returning again! I always thought this was just the local take away but was presently surprised when my wife and I decided to dine in. The decor is simple yet elegant, with a touch of the orient. The menu is extensive, on the day we samples the spring rolls, satay chicken, massaman beef and the pad-thai. The food was aromatic, well presented and delicious. It is a lovely family business and the owners are warm, friendly and helpful. My only concern was that the size of their tables was very modest and it might get a bit squishy for large groups. Overall it was a great experience and we left with full bellies and a smile on our face!
Really liked the minimalist decor. Menu extensive and reasonably priced. We enjoyed our starter of steamed dim sims and the two mains ordered which all arrived as promptly as could be wished. My only criticism would be that the service although very prompt (almost too prompt?) was rather detached and impersonal. Will certainly give it another try.
Our first time to the Aroy Thai at Blackwood which we chose after positive recommendations from several friends. We chose a mix of entree dishes which arrived together and were hot, delicious and enjoyable to share between the four of us (adults). Not sure what happened though with the mains as each persons dish came out separately and just as we started to wonder if the last dish had been missed, suddenly the manager swooped in with a free glass of wine, extra rice and the missing plate. Perhaps it had been forgotten, but the staff realised it before we did and that extra attention and service cancelled out any negative feelings that might have risen.Like the entrees, the main courses were delicious, hot and fresh and generous in size.Little touches like the vegetable flower garnishes added to the whole experience.Staff friendly and certainly attentive.Would definitely recommend and return another time.
