The staff at this restaurant are incredibly helpful, coming from various lovely European countries. We feel fortunate to have them, as they truly enhance the dining experience. What Jack King doesn't like about Crown:
They advertise for availability for a car park. It was impossible to get through the archway with cars parked opposite. I was on crutches and I had to struggle up and down various sets of stairs. At breakfast a small cockroach ran across the table. When I notified the receptionist quietly I was told “we clean everyday it must have come in from outside”. We are staying in the rooms outside and they are lovely. Boris has been incredibly attentive and we are very impressed so far.
Dave, the local eccentric, brought a lively atmosphere to the restaurant.
The hotel is wonderful, with clean rooms, friendly staff, and great nearby walking trails.
