Contribute FeedbackDiscover a hidden gem in Dallas with rich, delicious food and an amazing view. Beware of bland tasting food and lackluster service in a noisy environment at this steakhouse. While some diners found the overall experience decent, others were unimpressed with long waits and mediocre service. However, many customers praised the fantastic staff and incredible food, with some calling it the best restaurant they've ever been to. Enjoy a lively ambiance and delicious dishes, with highlights including baked shrimp, bone-in ribeye, and lamb kabob with saffron rice. Despite some mixed reviews, this restaurant seems to be a favorite for many who appreciate great service and top-notch cuisine.
My husband and I are locals and we come here when we're looking to have a night out drinks and good food his place is great we went on a Wednesday evening the place was pack with beautiful people and great atmosphere, most of all good was amazing as always! The piano music sets of everything even though they were super busy the staff was also very accommodating and friendly we had a great time and rely enjoy everything !
Decent at best. That’s all really. It is very noisy- by design. Look up and you’ll see why. The ceiling is designed to carry the noise from the bar throughout the restaurant. And honestly I don’t care to listen to the bumpin music they’re playing at the bar when we’re at our booth 50+ feet away. It is also very dim. Extremely poor lighting, according to our waitress (who was very nice) this is also by design because other diners have made comment about this too and she said she’s mentioned it and the feedback she gets is “it creates the ambience.” Yeah okay…… “ambience.” The food is decent at best. Caesar salad was pretty good. But what is up with the streak being doused in butter? There was a pool of butter on my plate around my steak. Is the lighting dim in the kitchen too? Can the chefs not see what they’re doing? All in all, New York Prime is not any better than Morton’s or The Capital Grille. In fact, we probably should have gone to one of those two. There’s nothing New York about this restaurant at all. After returning home we decided to check out New York Prime’s website and read their menu story about how “New York Prime is a different kind of steakhouse.” If you ever want a laugh, read that. You’ll tear up, it’s hilarious. Proprietors seem very full of themselves! Anyway, we were very unimpressed, will definitely not be returning.
The food here is always guaranteed to be incredible. The service is top notch and the bartender has a heavy pour.
Nice dinner at the bar. Great Manhattans and great food and service!
The waiter was a bit thin, but different from the outstanding!
