Pancake was huge, eggs with cheese where just ok. The coffee was a little bitter and they only had dairy free creamer. Still giving 4 star because of the customer service. Overall it was a good place to stop in for breakfast. View all feedback.
What Asa Armstrong doesn't like about Trolley House:
The service it?s not great!! We got stuck in a corner and felt as we got forgotten!! We had to grab the menus and never got asked if we wanted coffee or anything!! A group of guys came in 15 after us and got the water and coffee and menus as soon as that sat down!! Food was good not much of it but good!! The jam was amazing we asked for one more container since they are so small.. View all feedback.
Always like eating here! Love that they have the vegetarian sausage patty as an option on the menu. They are pretty busy so we had to wait a bit to get our food
I will never return to this restaurant. Our pancake was undercooked, so we asked for it to be remade. Later, we found a hair in the whipped cream, and then another one. We requested the French toast to be remade as well, but received attitude from the waitress. We never received an apology or refills on our drinks. The pancake was still undercooked when it finally arrived. We were extremely disappointed with the food and service, and will not be returning to this establishment.
I had a very personal experience at this restaurant about a year ago. Although I believe it was under different ownership at the time, I must share my thoughts about the previous owner. Simply put, she was not very kind and primarily hired young children as busboys, likely for cheap labor. I hope that the yelling from the kitchen, which was noticeable to most customers, has stopped, as well as the unfair treatment of the busboys by V. It was concerning that customers were not encouraged to tip the stressed-out busboys, who may not have been receiving a fair wage. I also hope that some of the cooks, although I do not know them personally, have moved on to better opportunities since my visit last year. I hope that the restaurant is now being run more efficiently and that the previous owner is no longer involved.
The Reuben sandwich with fries was delicious, and the service was excellent.
It?s a very cozy restaurant, unfortunately the food was horrible, the quality of the food was poor, unseasoned, I saw the people sitting next to me sending their food back and I thought they were being too picky. I was wrong, I couldn?t eat my meal, it wasthat bad. I ordered the chicken fried steak, I ate the eggs that came with it the rest wasn?t edible, not even the tater tots. The prices a quite high for the portions they offer. Our server was very nice, I believe this place has a lot of potential, buttheir cooks need to be retrained, they need to look into their recipes and buy quality ingredients or I don?t see them stayingin business for long.
