Ashiana' has been a family favorite for many years and we travel more than 20kms to get there and we are never disappointed. The food is fantastic, authentic Indian, the service is always excellent and the staff are friendly and welcoming and what we really like is that it is BYO and the prices of the meals are very reasonable. You can bring a birthday cake without being charged ' cakeage!' And it is real value for m... View all feedback.
What Max Eichmann doesn't like about Aashiana Tandoori Indian Restaurant:
They excel in curries and naan and awsome customer service. However stay away from the biryani, it’s really bad. Is nowhere close to what a biryani should be and is tasteless. View all feedback.
Gorgeous fresh Indian food. Everything on the menu is really good and l have tried most of them. Parking out the front, bottleshop over the road....perfect.
True North Indian - think tandoori, think no oil, think no southern herbs or fruit (coriander, coconut). This bustling restaurant was filled with families, couples and friends - and a large number were Indian, always a good indicator! We ordered a variety and shared - each dish was wonderful: simple, tender, flavoursome. The restaurant was BYO, but luckily we discovered that we could quietly buy a decent red wine by the glass. We couldn't manage to eat everything we ordered - there were only the 2 of us - but we were able to take the rest home, plus some take-away pakhoras to treat another friend. We will definitely being returning, preferably with some friends so we can order more dishes to share. Most dishes could be described as medium in heat, but for many dishes you could request more or less heat. There is off -street parking (right next to the Coles off-street entry).
We have eaten often at Aashiana over the past five years and always enjoyed the experience, but on a miserable, wet Friday night, we felt like staying at home for a lazy evening, and as it was my turn to cook, I became increasingly lazy and placed a take-away order. I arrived (slightly late because of the traffic) for the pick-up, but was greeted, with the same courteous welcome, to pick up the ordered food, which was, as always very well priced. When I returned to the car, I saw that there seemed to be more containers than I had ordered, but a superficial examination showed that the extra container was complimentary and unexpected pappadams. When I got home I discovered that at the bottom of the bag there were also containers of complimentary condiments to accompany the meal.As always, the food was tasty and just what we wanted and for barely $20 for two people, extremely good value. Next time, if the weather is better, and if we haven't had a busy week, we will put on some decent clothes and return to be pampered by what we know is the excellent service at the restaurant.
Everything at this restaurant is first rate. The service is efficient and not imposing. The quality of all of the food is first rate. From the samosas which are large, tasty and chunks to the beef vindaloo which is large chunks of very tender beef in a delicious spicy sauce with a lovely tang from the vinegar. The garlic naan has a lovely coating of garlic. The Butter chicken has a beautiful nutty smokiness. I have been going here for many years and it is always great. The prices here are incredible for the quality. Cheap Eats has recommended it for a good reason.
I hadn't been here for a few years but I remembered the last visit as having some great Indian food. Well it didn't start very well firstly they lost our booking - but thankfully they had a vacant table. We ordered our entrees our favourite tandoori players - chicken was dry- the water bottle was dirty- the naan stuffed with lamb was dry actually it was tasteless and burnt- main courses came out - tasty- things were starting to look up until one of the girls was starting to eat when she pulled out of her rice an elastic band!!!! The waiter promptly took the offensive rice away and returned with another- our meal was ruined - eventually at the end of our meal the manager came and apologised and offered a discount- it's not about the discount that didn't change the fact of what happened - would I go back? No, the elastic band issue in my food didn't help , but I didn't think the quality of the food was as good as I remembered and bragged about to friends.
