What Jonathan Morewood dislikes about The Smokehouse Pub & Grill:
Wife and I went today (30th aniversary). Both of us had the same thing, neither could finish it. Tasted like they were trying to cover something up with garlic and salt.I'm dizzy, sick and constantly belching. She's rolled up in a blanket over her head on the couch with chills. Happy anniversary baby. Not going there again. View all feedback.
Standard sleepy town pub, the restaurant is clean, but the men’s washroom need a bit of attention due to “mud on the toilet seat”. the staff are friendly, the prices are fair. the food was good, I have a BBQ grilled chicken sandwich with fries($14), The can of Diet Coke was flat and long expired. It’s nothing exciting but better than fast food. Service: Dine in
Went for take out, told on the phone it would be 20 mins, get up to collect and was told another 20 mins, sat down had a beer and finally after 45 mins, I asked where the order was. They forgot. This is after I saw the main cook come out and poor himself 2 shots and a beer and went back to cooking. Horrible!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! Meal type: Dinner
We were extremely disappointed in the 'poutine ' Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $1–10 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2
Attended an event in Brighton and stopped in for a quick bite and beverage. First impression right at the entrance was a whole bunch of smokers; it's not a huge area but had at least 6/7 people all smoking and it reeked! I'm not a rabid ex smoker by any stretch but this was a real turn off and they really should consider moving the big ashtray/smoking area away from the front door. We ordered the 10 wing appetizer and a couple of pints, server came back from the kitchen to say that they were out of cajun seasoning so we'd need to order a different flavour; I make my own cajun seasoning as does almost every home cook I know it's 9 different spices mixed together Google is your friend! Good sized wings though and unbreaded which is always appreciated. It was quite busy for a Saturday afternoon and obviously popular with the local crowd. Shout out to Emma our apologetic server and lovely, friendly young woman
