Donatello - Brighton and Hove

Very disappointed. We didn’t touch the food at all and nobody asked how it was . I am italian and the food it doesn’t taste like italian food AT ALL ! (Or look like) . Pizza it is not home made everything it’s frozen. We only enjoyed the beer and the juice. 35£ paid for nothing. NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!

A busy restaurant in the heart of Brighton. The food was OK but my pasta puttanesca was served in a small bowl and piled up really high which was visually unappealing and made it difficult to eat. I only managed to eat half and then found all the pasta sauce ingredients were at the bottom of the bowl, so I hadn't really got the full flavour of the meal.

Visited yesterday and highly recommended. Excellent value food of great quality (lunchtime menu £15 per person for two courses). Service great too!

Whenever we visit Brighton, we always dine at this restaurant. This time, the food was subpar, but the main problem lies with the staff. With the exception of a friendly waitress, the rest of the staff seemed quite unhappy. The dessert was delicious, but that was the only highlight of the meal. We are unsure if we will return in the future, which is disappointing as it used to be a great dining experience, but not anymore.

I had a great experience at this restaurant, the pizza was delicious. The manager, Rob, was fantastic and went above and beyond to take care of us. He quickly and kindly addressed a few minor issues we had and really made us feel welcome. A true credit to the restaurant!
