Contribute FeedbackThe Longman pub in Patcham is a mixed bag of experiences, delighting patrons with its flavorful Thai cuisine while leaving some unsatisfied with its Sunday roasts and service. Guests rave about the delicious dishes and friendly atmosphere, particularly during the weekday Thai offerings, but frustrations arise over inconsistent service and pricing, especially on Sundays. Despite a charming ambiance, some visitors feel neglected by staff and express disappointment over walk-in policies. Overall, while the pub attracts loyal clientele with its tasty menu and welcoming spirit, there are growing concerns about service and management that could impact future visits.
The Thai is amazing! Always delicious and quick to come out! The lady’s that bring it out are always friendly and smiley! The bar staff are also welcoming and cheerful, lovely atmosphere! Frequent here a lot!
We purposely booked here as they had outdoor seating and we wanted to meet grandparents.we booked two tables outside and drove over 1.5 hrs as not many places offering outdoor seating with heat at present. When we arrived they had put us inside the pub and when questioned said oh well there is no more room Outside now ! We had no other option as no other pubs in the area we could go to and we all felt awkward as now we had been put in breach of COVID rules by them! ...... food was ok but not suitable for kids. Ordered chips for them but no vinegar so very dry and they didn’t eat them. Service for extra drinks was very slow. The tea I had came in a tea pot that I dont think had ever seen a washer, Won’t be rushing back that’s for sure
Great food, great service. Visited today with family. Great roast, portion size was good, meat selection was great and potatoes were delish!
I ate here twice in a week, The Sunday lunch was fantastic, one of the best I’ve had. I returned later in the week and the only option was Thai food, it wasn’t the best I’ve had and left disappointed.I would definitely return for the Sunday dinner but not the weekday Thai.
Firstly the food was amazing. the pork belly was really good with crispy crackling. However, if I’m going to pay over £75 for 3 roasts and 3 pints of post mix I would expect a certain level of service. The roasts at £17 each arnt over priced especially for the food served. But £7 for 4 pigs in blankets and charging over £4 for post mix cola is just day light robbery made more noticeable by the hands off service levels. Ordering at the bar, no service expect dropping food at a table and then when we went to the bar to pay not even a friendly face or a thank you.
