Been here a few times now and don't mind it. They only have a couple of vegan curries and although they are more on the liquid side you can't beat them for quantity and price charged. Although not on the menu, they can also make you a vegan Roti Wrap if you request and I highly recommend that you do, that's definitely the best part because they are REALLY delicious! They also have onion bajis which are good. We will... View all feedback.
What Marisa Mante dislikes about The Indian Kitchen:
The only place I know in Brisbane that you can get 3 Veg Curries and Rice for $6.50. With bain caries from various curries ready to go, Indian cuisine is fast and always satisfying. Naan is fresh to order. Seats in the indoor and outdoor areas are open every evening until 10 a.m. View all feedback.
I only recently went here for the first time and I can't believe I didn't go sooner. The food here is so cheap, great for a meal out when you're trying not to spend too much. I got rice and three curries for $8.00. Love the garlic Dahl here and also really liked the lamb madras, could have done with a little more spice though. We also got a garlic naan which was made fresh in store and quite delicious. It's not somewhere you would take people for a nice night out but definitely a place where you can get a good meal for under $10.00. Will definitely be visiting regularly from now on.
When you walk or drive past - you wouldn't expect the food to be as good as it is. Yes, M & I were judgmental of the initial appearance of the place but I really loved the food! The mango chicken was creamy and delicious, the naan bread was fresh and extremely delicious (it's hard to come across naan bread that isn't though). Rice is cooked perfectly and the little side dishes were yummy- oily but yummy. Unfortunately, the lamb korma was a bit watery. Not as good as other Indian places we have eaten so that is why I've knocked my rating from a 4.0 to a 3.5. Great prices... that's always great.
We live in Kangaroo Point and still travel to get the cheapest Indian in the Brisbane Core. It's really cheap so doesn't look like much and they only accept cash, but the food is perfect for a quick, lazy dinner and tastes great. Would definitely recommend for a takeaway dinner night.
The food was great. The service was friendly and very prompt. The atmosphere was terrific with the Indian music and video clips. The prices were unbelievable!! We drive in from Sunnybank once a week to eat there and I would highly recommend the Indian Kitchen to anyone. Try the Lamb Korma!! Sam & Cathy Watson.
Ducked into The Indian Kitchen for a quick curry after my lunch plans fell through. This was my third visit here. My first two trips here were polar opposites - the vegetarian curries on the first trip were really good (4), but the second visit was for Chicken Tikka Naan (2) and Samosas (2.5), neither of which hit the mark. Today I went with Chicken Korma and Rice. The chicken was very tender and it was a generous serving for $8, but it was very wet and pretty bland - to be fair it was advertised as mild, but there is a difference between the level of spice and flavour in general. The fact that there was a small bone in my last bite of chicken didn't impact my rating. Good price and you can be in and out in a matter of minutes, so I'm sure I'll return at some point.
