Went on a Saturday afternoon around 5pm and honestly the service was really superb. The male servers and hosts were attentive. Food came at a decent time not long at all. Rum punch was great. The jerk chicken rasta pasta was great. Hubby demolished hissalmon rasta pasta. For 4 people the bill was amazing. I should?ve gone to another place to have dinner that day. It was EMPTY, yet they proceeded to give us what seemed like the WORST seat in the place. We were seated ALL THE WAY in the back, right near the kitchen?NO. The was subpar to say the least andthe service was lazy and labored. The shrimp came burnt to a crisp and we had to send it back. The only drawback of the restaurant is the limited parking and the tight space, leading to a crowded atmosphere, especially on Friday nights. Despite a short wait of no more than 15 minutes to be seated, the experience was well worth it. The waiter was friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. The portion sizes were generous for a reasonable price. I enjoyed the curried chicken with rice, peas, and cabbage, as well as the amazing drinks, although a bit pricey. One drink was enough to give me a buzz. The pineapple passion cocktail with pineapple Ciroc was particularly enjoyable. The atmosphere was pleasant with good music, making me feel like I was in a trendy bar. I am looking forward to returning soon.
It's the place to be on Sunday, relaxing atmosphere, great music for lovers etc,I will recommend it highly.
We really enjoyed the food we had this afternoon - the Vegetarian Rasta Pasta and the Cabbage Curry with Rice and Peas. The cocktail was fantastic, one of the best I've had in a long time. I definitely recommend this place, and I will definitely return when I'm back in Coney Island.
Great food. I had Mama's Oxtail Stew and my wife had the curried goat. Drinks were good as well. Super friendly service. I love the place
The live band at this restaurant was fantastic, playing throughout the night. The food was delicious and the drinks were outstanding. Our waitress was friendly and fun, making our experience even more enjoyable. It was a nice touch that they acknowledged my sister's birthday. The atmosphere was also perfect.
