What User doesn't like about Virginian:
Of course, this is named after author Owen Wister’s novel, The Virginian. We would have loved to have eaten here as it looked so lovely inside and very Old West and charming. It looks like the perfect place for a special occasion. Unfortunately, it was closed. I read some very good reviews that the food was very good. View all feedback.
Excellent service!!! You serve your dinner, as it is supposed to bring appetizers, bread and entrees to good 30 minutes in between, so you can speak. Let for 2 hours really enjoy this amazing dinner experience. Eating is great, Elch Steak is for dying!
Wonderful service. Natalie was a wonderful server. We recommend you to eat in this historic restaurant.
Excellent food. Portions are medium-- You will not leave filled or filled with food on the table, but you will not starve either. All I ordered was tasteful and perfectly cooked. In addition, the new owner(since 2019) and server were absolutely wonderful. I would rate this higher than most restaurants in Seattle or Denver. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for fantastic food at a reasonable price.
You have the best steak I've ever eaten! So delicate, buttery and well seasoned. From appetizers to dessert everything was amazing. I don't have a single complaint unless I wish I had eaten here earlier! The staff is so attentive and very friendly, and the atmosphere is really nice. I ordered the ribeye, loaded garlic potatoes, asparagus and grilled cheese salad. Everything was delicious and perfectly cooked. Best steak house in town, hands down!
The food is excellent. The buffalo ribeye was just the best. (Not a bad compliment from ranchers. . The teriyaki salmon was delicious. The historic atmosphere is wonderful. The staff is top notch. Our gracious hostess made our reservations just what we had in mind. Our server, Skyy, was very good and an absolute delight. The band at the Occidental was very, very good. Such a group of musicians! Too bad the place was so packed we could not stay for lack of space. If you go on Thursday, go early!
