This little place tucked away up at the beginning of Oxford Street is a little gem. Its not in the busy part of the street so when I have been there is never too full. The service is attentive, the ambience peaceful and most importantly the food is very good. Been there a few times and will certainly go back for more. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Mirchi Healthy Indian Restaurant:
We ordered takeaway from this restaurant ordered Bricolli Pakoda, Daal Saagwala and Bombay Aloo along with garlic nan gluten free bread. The Borcolli is $7.90 and we got two florets of Bricholli dipped in a yoghurt with lots of packet green leaves. This is overpriced and when I called thy eventually offered to give me a free brocolli pakoda, okay so far. However, the SaG was Rgueably the least tasty thing I have had,... View all feedback.
My family are regulars at this restaurant, and have been for a long while now. It's actually improved a lot over the years, but the management and staff remain friendly and courteous. The food is actually some of the best Pakistani/Indian restaurant food I've eaten, and I eat it almost every day so. I always love their butter chicken and their naan, if nothing else, you must try this. Their other dishes are all quite good as well, including their saag and their fish fillet curry. The service is always good, and the food usually arrives quickly after ordering.
I really like Mirchi (convenient and reasonably priced) but I've noticed lately that after I have eaten their butter chicken or korma, I am left with a crazy thirst which I can't seem to quench no matter how much water I drink. Does anyone know what ingredient they might be using which is causing this? I've don't seem to have this happen at other Indian restaurants.
We used to live in Grange and found Mirchi the best suburban Indian takeaway nearby. Now 3 years on and 5 kms further away, we still get our Indian takeaway here. Great authentic flavours. We have tried ones nearer, but keep coming back. I've actually noticed that it is getting busier for dine in as well. Enough said. We usually have the butter chicken, palak paneer and bits and pieces. Highly recommended.
One of our favourites. Good quality and great service <br/ <br/ Great selection from a pretty standard menu<br/ <br/ Try ordering and have a beer around the corner at the PLOUGHMAN while you wait!
Have just moved to the area and were pretty chuffed to discover this local Indian restaurant. We went the takeaway option (rogan josh, saagwala, naan) and it was all pretty delicious. Good value, generous and delicious. Will definitely become regulars.
