God food, great view, friendly service. The salt and pepper squid is delicious and a favourite. Located on the Wollongong to Thirroul bike path, it is a popular stopping place to enjoy a break, good coffee and great oc n views. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Rubyscafe:
Decided to give them a second chance as anyone can have a bad day. Rude service and favouritism shown to I am guessing friend or regulars. 20 minutes before someone took our order and that was after orders were taken for a group that arrived 10 minutes after us. When we finally got our food we were hurried as they needed the table. View all feedback.
As a vegetarian, I ordered a cheese and tomato roasted sandwich but received a ham, cheese, and tomato sandwich instead. I informed the waiter of my dietary restriction and they took the sandwich back to the kitchen. When it was returned to me, it was not a freshly made sandwich as it only took one or two minutes. I was disappointed with the lack of attention to my vegetarian needs.
I had a tasty cappuccino at this cafe and the barista was very skilled. I really enjoy this place. I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the ham, cheese, and tomato roasted sandwich was.
I waited for several minutes for a takeout coffee, which could have been ordered faster through Uber Eats. The cafe is not very busy, with the cook also managing food preparation and tables (which is very hygienic).
Breakfast for two sitting on the balcony in the sun. very good eggs with speck and a huge “big breakfast”. a great place to stay back and enjoy a cozy breakfast while watching the never-ending parade of joggers and cyclists. PS....Great coffee (and the choice of the cup size)
Great brekky despite the pouring rain and rough seas. Friendly welcome, fantastic views and a very good bacon roll with hash browns and my wife loved her eggs Benedict. Nice coffee too, going back tomorrow!
