Best single hot pot restaurant in Vancouver. Been coming here for a half a decade and the quality hasn’t changed. They've also newly renovated in the last year or so. You'll enjoy this individual hot pot experience. Prices are fair, ingredients always fresh and hands down the BEST house-made satay dipping sauce ever. Must try for all hotpot lovers!
Went here after church i guess, this will be my last meal with a friend that i think i'll definitely miss. well but other than that the hotpot here is one of the lighter soup base available in burnaby/vancouver area. i chose the vegetable option wanting to keep up with my dietary plans, and the portion is okay but for the price hmmm it's almost similar to other hotpot places, spent around $15-$25 ish in here. taste wise for the vegetable broth is good for it's own ingredients
Okay I promise this is the last hot pot post for a while, I’m just catching up on my posting since I’ve been away in Alaska for the past week. I wanted something soupy because I had been indulging in waaay too much cruise food lately. We didn’t know where to go so I looked up a few places nearby and we decided on going Pearl hotpot.
You know honestly I don't think this place is that bad. Obviously people are more into the AYCE hotpot places but since my family is vegetarian I don't mind coming here. You pay $17 and receive a nice cold fruity tea drink, the hotpot which actually does make you super full and soft serve ice cream that comes in awesome flavours like green tea or sesame. I do recommend coming here if you're vegetarian and want to have hot pot, but I can't say anything about if it's good for those carnivores out there. The thing is sometimes I feel like they are understaffed so if it gets super crowded it's really hard for the two servers to keep up with orders, cleaning up, taking cash and greeting people but it's normally not too busy unless it's super rainy and cold out.
We have been coming here for years and it never disappoints. We always leave feeling full and satisfied. Good price points as the meal consists of a choice of protein, carb, drink and veggie bowl and ice cream for dessert. It's especially satisfying on a cold fall or winter day but we go year round. There is a small parking lot on the side and also lots of street parking.
