Stopped for lunch at this mom and pop diner in Tarbert. The menu is very simple but the dishes were expertly prepared. You definitely won't leave hungry. Mine was roast lamb and mint sauce. My wife's was grilled plaice. Both with 3 veggies and if you were hungry some boiled to fill out the plate. Good service and friendly. Simple food but delicious. Dessert was home made. Took me back to home cooked meals growing up.... View all feedback.
What Mark A doesn't like about Enright's:
This restaurant is quite small with a limited menu, which is understandable since it seems like there is only one person serving, cooking, and greeting guests. I had an average meal that I thought was a bit overpriced for the portion size. The host/cook didn't engage in any conversation and simply allowed me to enjoy my meal; it would have been nice to have some interaction. While I personally wouldn't return, I woul... This restaurant, which closed in December 2019, was known for its excellent food, fantastic service with a smile, and tasteful decor in its small and intimate space.
Best food in Kerry . Great value and service . Everything prepared and cooked on the premises from fresh local produce.
Had a recent lunch there and it brought up the eternal question what is the balance between quality, quantity and choice. Here at Enright's, the menu is pretty much predictable, catering what what one might call real Irish food no French dressing or Italian ciabatta here! However, the food is fantastic in terms of quality and service and this is straight from the Ballroom of Romance era. There is a variety of Beef, Chicken and Fish dishes all accompanied by the mash scoops of potato, veg (well cooked) and traditional desserts to follow. There is plenty of comfort food served up but the kitchen might lighten up on pulverising the veg and leave a little bit of solid texture. End result! great food, wonderful attentive staff and a glimpse of what Ireland was many years ago and full marks to Enrights for maintaining that tradition!!
Step into the 70s style diner for good home style cooking. Great normal food with meat and 2 veg dinners! It's important to ring and book as seating is limited and only 2/3 staff running the show. Don't be in a rush as most food cooked to order.
Was very pleasantly suprised with a very tasty lunch. I had fish with 3 veggies for main couse following by semolina pudding for dessert. The interior is old style and the staff are friendly and attentive. Great value at 12 euro. Will definitely call again.
