The food was beautiful- both my husband and my steaks were cooked to perfection. The starter which I think was the Dundee platter was delicious- the highlight the duck spring rolls and the scallops. The only let down was waiting a while for wine however...our waitress recognised that and apologised. She was lovely. Can’t recall her name but she was from Manchester. The owner even delivered our kids ice creams Great food lovely service. Delightful evening
Went last night to Dundee's by the waterfront, specifically to have the Seafood tower. It did not disappoint! We selected a specific table when we booked a few days ago and it was worth the water view and ambiance. We had a dips platter but...we didn't really need it. The seafood tower was heaps for 2 people and we had oysters,prawns,bugs, tropical fruit and was presented quite dramatically on a tiered platter. The service was excellent from the moment we arrived. We were greeted by Adrian who was front of house who was both efficient and affable. A special mention to Riban our waitress during dinner who was friendly,knowledge and chatty. Felt it was better value for money than some of the high-end restaurants we went to in Port Douglas !
Never easy to satisfy 40 people but Dundees did an amazing job at keeping the food and drink coming throughout the night. zero issues thanks to happy staff and good food at a reasonable price and a great social night for our club.
We stopped in on our first night in Cairns and were told we could not get in without a reservation. The restaurant was more than half empty and they made a show of showing us all the reservations. But they were for 7 PM and it was 7:05 and the place was half empty. My travel partner really wanted to go here so we made a reservation for the following evening. That worked out well as the service was good and the food was excellent. I was a little put off by the first experience but I would still recommend this restaurant for the location, the service, and the excellent sea food.
We did the pre-set menu with a few extra drinks. We got to try crocodile and kangaroo, the food was wonderful. Wait staff was really great.
