Contribute FeedbackThis Italian restaurant, located in Calgary, offers a range of Italian comfort food at reasonable prices. While some diners were disappointed with the lack of authentic Italian ambiance and the high prices of wine, others praised the quality of the food, particularly the pizza. The chef, who didn't appear to be Italian, served food that was tasty but sometimes lacking in traditional Italian ingredients. Service varied, with some diners experiencing attentive and friendly waitstaff while others were disappointed by the lack of attention. The atmosphere, which included loud heavy metal music on one occasion, was hit or miss for diners. Overall, this restaurant seems to be a good choice for a casual family meal with good quality food, particularly when it comes to pizza.
Came in around 8pm and were 1 of 3 tables in the restaurant (the other two were finishing up when we arrived.) House wine was $5 and was an OK glass of
The linguine with clams which was excellent, light oil-based sauce, seafood with fresh clear flavoursService was excellent and attentive.
This place gets 4 stars for being straight up good classic old school Italian.
The people were great, even got the opportunity to meet one of the owners. server was Kristen she was very pleasant and a lot of fun. its just to bad the food was so poor. the bruschetta was delicious, but overall the pizza was not authentic whatsoever, had to be one of the worst margarita pizza's I have ever had, my girlfriend had under cooked pasta not once but twice. so overall a lot of inconsistencies. like I said great staff very pleasant but I will never go back personally. sorry guys
Anantea is a totally nice restaurant. The service was courteous, attentive and friendly. eating (2 appetizers)
