Staff was very friendly. Helped us navigate the menu and understand the process. Some of the options were a little foreign to us but the meat and seafood was amazing. Tried 3 different broths and each were delicious. Add water to control sodium. Our kids, 8 and 10 yrs old, had a blast and continuously request going back. Helps to make resos. View all feedback.
What User dislikes about Centre Street Japanese Hotpot:
This is a Chinese hot pot restaurant. Marginal clean, little service, $4 for tea i a disposable cup. Lunch was a mix-mash of Chinese food and cost $150 for 5 people with only 3 teas. A demolition of Japanese food and culture. Do not go... back View all feedback.
A favourite! Recommend to everyone! I go here as often as possible. The presentation is beautiful and the food is tasty. Try the lunch/late night special for a great deal. Go here!
I have visited this restaurant several times and everyone always leaves feeling very satisfied. The combination of Taiwanese snacks, bubble tea, and hot pot is a unique concept that I really enjoy. I will definitely be returning in the future.
I'm not a fan of having spam as an ingredient, but they were willing to substitute it for more cabbage, which I loved. The dining experience was hands-off, allowing you to cook at your own pace while enjoying drinks as needed. I have never left feeling hungry. Update: This is now my favorite restaurant, as they offer free substitutions for ingredients you may not like. Overall, I highly recommend returning to this place.
6 of us went to Japanese Hot Pot on a weeknight, I would recommend a reservation as they did get very busy and there are only two tables of 6, the rest are for a table for 2 or 4. The concept here is individual hot pots, but you still cook yourself, which i liked. I had only been to Hot Point which is also individualized, but all the ingredients is cooked at once for you and they use a flame to keep it hot. I liked that this restaurant had electric warmers. The ingredients were fresh and I liked that you could choose your broth, meat and noodles (ramen, udon, glass noodles etc). You can choose from small or large, the large comes with 2 meats and more veggies than the small. You can also add bubbletea for a reduced price. <br/ <br/ I totally recommend this restaurant and will return.
Came here for the first time a few weeks ago. I got the sukiyaki, and it was really good. My gf tried the spicy one and it was really oily, pretty much non edible. It's a good price as the 2 of us with drink came out to ~40-45.
