I often shop at Edelweiss as it carries a nice selection of quality European deli meats, pastries and chocolates. While getting some deli meats the other day, I decided to stop for lunch. I ordered the bratwurst and a slice of black forest cake. Both were very good. Edelwiess is a nice place but the service needs improvement. Some of the staff can be impatient or even rude with customers. The place can get very noisy... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Edelweiss Village:
Instead of being helpful, the staff lectured us on how to order and where to order. After being insulted many times, we left without getting our order. They were out of our first 3 selections. Noisy. Will never enter this restaurant again. View all feedback.

You have to queue to order + purchase food which some are not used to given the tone of some other reviews. It doesn't take long and I see the fact the place is busy as a good sign, people keep coming back. Visited this place for lunch on my last day in Canada, fairly unique shop, deli and cafe all in one. Ordered a veggie burger which didn't take long to arrive, highlight was the range of stunning deserts. Chocolate cup with strawberry mousse and fresh fruit on top was delicious. I will return to Edelweiss if I go back to Calgary in future, recommended.
Stood in a 3 person line for 10 minutes and watched at least 6 women working behind the counter talking but not helping anyone in line.Went in for breakfast and cafe was empty.....I see why now.Sad....Not asking for allot.I just wanted breakfast and to spend my .Maybe another time when I'm not Invisible?Probably not.
There are many items in this store you will not find elsewhere and I understand this is a drawing feature. The deli has a good variety of cold meats and desserts and generally the cold meats are fine; however, I find the baking very expensive and if it were always fresh I wouldn't mind as much. The last piece of mocha torte I purchased was dry, and tasted like it had been sitting there a few days. When I pay over $5. for a small piece of cake I expect it to be very good. The food served in the cafeteria is too heavy for my liking but I understand that many people enjoy such things as sausages, cabbage rolls and schnitzel.
