Oriental Phoenix Restaurant - Calgary

Nice selection of dishes at this longstanding Calgary restaurant. Food was well prepared and tasty. Good quantity in the sushi had although I would have liked more vegetables. A highlight were the very friendly staff and the owner who came by a couple of times.

I met a few friends for lunch here and this is one of the classic Vietnamese restaurants in Calgary. It has been around forever and the food is very consistent. I always get the number 19 and their spring rolls are amazing. The food is good and the service is fast. Parking can be an issue but there is lots of it so you may have to walk a bit, but not a big deal.

I've tried literally dozens of like restaurants but keep going back to the Phoenix. Pretty basic menu for Vietnamese but they nail the dishes. You can ask for specific requests with your meal and they try their best to accommodate you. Very fresh food. Good fast service. Reasonably priced in line with the standards for this type of food which is always reasonable with the majority. Consistent meals with a better setting and atmosphere than most other Vietnamese locations.

Excellent dinner at this restaurant, extreme fast lunch. hot food and fresh vegetables. Everything was perfect. I'll go back if I go back to calgary.
