Took a weekend trip down to Calgary to see a concert, booked the hotel for 2 nights and decided to check out schanks on the second night. The bar wasn't awful but definitely wasn't something that needs to be done on a trip to Calgary. If you are looking for a cheap night out then it's great but don't be expecting anything amazing.

My wife and I met another couple here. Never been here before. This is a very large place but has a number of things: bar, food, mini gold, bowling, pool tables arcade, sports bet, etc. Is a great place to hang out with friends. We had some driks and food, played gold and bowling. Mini goldf and bowling spek for themselves - although there is not a lot of lanes and there can be a very long wait for your turn (especially for bowling). Arcades games are a bit old - but maybe they don't make new ones these days?Nothing is cheap but the mini-golf is over priced and maybe the bowling s well? We had a large share platter to eat - was good except they also filled it with gross Edamame beans - no one likes them and they took up a large part of the platter...gross!

An established Sports, Entertainment and Events Bar practically empty on a Saturday evening?Well----scoping the room for activity, environmental appeal, and general condition ----this Bar/Grilllooks like YesterYear!Obviously Ownership and General Management have lost interest and all awareness.The Bright side to our experience was the attitude, friendliness and attentiveness of the staff.Particularly the Bar tenders---enthusiastic and Bar-knowledgeable!Yet working with minimum scale product!Also must say-----great pizzas!Overall---the Staff saved this rating from being----Below Average!
