Skylark Restaurant - Calgary

I once visited the Skylark for a dine-in experience, which was not good - cafeteria atmosphere, slow service and strange dessert display in the lobby. However, just had an amazing take-out experience through Skip the Dishes and will definitely order again. The spice levels were perfect for our motley crew of 5 people; some lovers of Indian food, and a few who had never tried it before! Also, free delivery over $30! We spent $80 including tip for our driver, and there was enough left over for 3 lunches today. Definitely recommending this place for take-away!

We come here for work lunches. The buffet makes it a really fast lunch if need be. All the dishes taste really good, including the butter chicken. They bring naan bread to the table, which is also tasty. $12.50 ea. We'll come here again.

Wife got a recommendation to try the samosas here. Great choices and freshly made. Plan to go to the daily smorg for East Indian food during the week.

A must try. Plaza is a bit shady but service and food are grey. Try the butter chicken or any of the yummy Indian snacks. Great prices as well.

Went to Skylark for Lunch, after being taken by a good friend. First look you can't believe there is a restaurant here. You walk into this little place and your greeted by a friendly smile at the front. Into the back we were escorted to meet our friends, like a secret room. The restaurant was simple and very clean. The food was simply amazing. The Indian Food was simply the best I have ever had!Spice was not over the top, it was just enough. It was buffet style, the food was fresh and yummy! Their was just enough buffet items, not enough to confuse you. Curry Beef, Butter Chicken, Tandoori Chicken, amongst others, just amazing food! As a friend of mine said they consider this Indian comfort food. I totally agree, just terrific food! Service was really good. Can't stress how amazing this restaurant is. Five Stars!
