Swiss Chalet - Calgary

Went few time with small kids, we always have to wait a long time before the food is ready. The food is very average and the servers are not very professional!

Went out for a birthday dinner, they had un advertised specials, plus they had items that a vegan could eat. Price for 5 of us less than $50.00

We used the coupon offered for two quarter chicken dinners for lunch at $15.99. The chicken was delicious and you could order various sides such as baked potatoes, rice, corn, and French fries etc. The service was very good and the food was delivered quickly.

My husband & I decided to stop for dinner the night before Mother's Day. It was around 5.30, and the restaurant was very cold. We asked twice if they could turn up some heat, most guests had their jackets on.We only saw two wait staff, and the restaurant was getting rather busy. Our appetizer took about 20 minutes to arrive and was served on a side plate with a container of the dipping sauce. They looked thrown on the plate, they used to be served in a gondola shaped dish, on a napkin to prevent the dish from slipping, and that was on a plate.Our entrees were painfully long in arriving, our server kept on checking, and letting us know they were coming. My entree came burned, we called over the manager, who said he'd replace it, the side salad I ordered was nasty. The white spiny parts of head lettuce, 1 beaten up piece of tomato, 3 julienne pieces of cucumber, and shredded carrot...thrown on a side plate, yummy, limp lettuce. When I mentioned the side salad to the "manager", I was told in a condescending tone, " that's the way it comes"... Our server apologized profusely, and then we were told they were out of back ribs( which was what we both had ordered), and were substituting side ribs, which were cheaper, but we were still charged to higher price! This location is newer and WAS good initially but has really changed. We filled out the survey online when we got home, but I guess corporately they don't care about their brand at that location, as we never heard anything from the corporate office. I would NOT recommend this location, we'll be driving a little farther next time.
