The atmosphere is understated, and the service is outstanding with friendly staff engaging in playful banter. The banquet menu offers a mixed bag of dishes, with outstanding entrees and desserts, while the mains range from average to great. While some diners were disappointed by the lack of options for dietary requirements and undercooked fish, others enjoyed the blend of Australian and Asian flavors. The restaurant is well-known for its tasty and well-balanced meals, making it a great choice for a special occasion or romantic dinner. The exotic ambiance and attentive staff make for an enjoyable dining experience, with memorable food that some patrons still enjoy the next day. While the prices may be on the higher side, regulars speak highly of the quality of food and service, recommending the Lantern Rooms for a unique and delicious dining experience.
Nice place. delicious food. efficient, friendly service. they will pay at the end to a head, but worth it. parking is a problem- they need to take a few flats below the apartment building and the elevator.
Lanterne rooms has been a popular choice for dinner in canberra for more than years. the restaurant is missed in the Campbell shops and offers several menus. their dishes are Malaysian and Southeast Asian aromene. we have recently dined there for the after work wine and dine deal. it is from Tuesday Friday and it is per person for small stockplates and large. the first glass wein is and weine the region canberra were the options when we visit. the food and the service were error-free. lanterne rooms is definitely worth a review if they enjoy qualitatiw high quality Asian food.
It is also one of the few restaurants in canberra, a fast weekday dinner for under the market lunch is excellent to pro meal. you can choose from: kari daging – slowly cooked bark in traditional Malaysian curry w/ pickles, croquettes, salatreis (my whole favorit)
Food, service, atmosphere, ticks for all can not mistake this place. we enjoyed the tasting menu, everything was well balanced and the meals were good. some interesting combinations, but surprisingly worked a tasty bite! will surely come back!
It’s also one of the few fine dining restaurants in Canberra to offer a quick weekday lunch for under The Market Lunch is excellent at per meal. You can choose from:. Kari Daging – Slow cooked beef in traditional Malaysian curry w/ Pickles, croquettes, salad rice (my overall favourite)
