beautiful location under an interesting collection of mature trees. a preferred influx for a quiet outdoor enjoyment of coffee and unmarried dishes. very relaxed ambiente for one or two hours to enjoy. also the service has improved. View all feedback.
What Emelie Davis doesn't like about The Oaks Brasserie:
Wait staff were nice and food was good. I had the linguine. Although way over priced and small serving. Obviously the location is relaxing and scenic. The only real problem for me was that the food took too long to arrive. View all feedback.
Two stars for the lovely location - but I felt seriously ripped off by paying $22 for the "spanish eggs" - I got one sad, over cooked egg in a small pan

I visited again a few weeks ago and gradually my opinion of Oaks is going down - almost to the point of other reviewers' comments. My friend ordered for us (they used to have table service but now you have to go inside to order and pay up front. When we asked a waiter about the change we were informed that too many people left without paying). The coffee and tea came very quickly. Then my friend's meal arrived. After 35 minutes mine hadn't arrived (we checked time ordered on docket) so we asked about it. Basically, I think mine had been lost in the system as it took another 15 minutes to get a toasted foccacia. I think it cost about $13.Following my last review, we decided not to have dessert due to the cost, but noted that the tea was $4, coffee $5 and iced coffee $6.Still a pleasant place, but going off it now for the service and price ripoff.NB: not open Mondays
Have a wedding, family reunion and such under the gorgeous new marquee. So elegant with outstanding gardens all around. For breakfast for lunch sit outside near the parkland to bring children, dogs and enjoy the stunning views, gardens and food. The staff are very busy but always friendly. They are licensed. REcommend book ahead.
We stopped here after a walk around the lake for an iced coffee (perfect amount of cream and icecream!) a toastie and a cake (yummy selection inside) Was the perfect spot to relax under the trees. Great nursery next door too for once you've refuelled!
