beautiful location under an interesting collection of mature trees. a preferred influx for a quiet outdoor enjoyment of coffee and unmarried dishes. very relaxed ambiente for one or two hours to enjoy. also the service has improved. View all feedback.
What Emelie Davis doesn't like about The Oaks Brasserie:
Wait staff were nice and food was good. I had the linguine. Although way over priced and small serving. Obviously the location is relaxing and scenic. The only real problem for me was that the food took too long to arrive. View all feedback.
We had a booking for midday last Friday and arrived to find the place cold and miserable. we were mostly ignored and finally sitting in the big plastic jam. the tables were grubby, the floor is worse. the single heating was not on and the room was. positiw ark. to this wonderful ambiente were added the budding empty milk boxes, boxes and restaurant ephemera around us. I had to go through more restaurant junk and ask if a menu was available and a single plastic coated sheet was reluctantly pointed to me that I could take. I took it back to the table where we discovered the usual 5 dinge that are offered in any other caffe in canberra. we decided not to stay. the manager and the personal must stand back and have a good look at how their grubby and badly presented caffe look for all others. presentation, cleanliness and service need some work. we were for a birthday lunch look. we didn't find it here.
Chose the brassiere for my birthday dinner because of the safe seats in the free. service was very fast and pleasant, our drinks and meals came fast. everything was freshly cooked and we all enjoyed our food. my fish and chips were hot and crisp and the...fish was very nice, the side salad was small, but especially delicious with a really good dressing. the gluten-free brot was particularly appreciated because it was apparently really delicious. it was quiet and comfortable, easy to social distance and server were careful to wear their masks properly.
A terrible service. arrived and told me that I found a table that lasted about 15 minutes to find the personal to say that no one from the front were available and wondering if something arrived around 12 when the lunch menu begins to say that they are running from the eichenburger. instead I ordered a kicherbsalat. it was a cheap, lazy spinat bowl with about 10 cockerbsen and two cherry tomatoes that cost $20. it was hardly worth a complementary beside salad of food
Last week I had lunch at The Oaks Brasserie with a friend. The food was very ordinary I ordered the Chilli Prawn Linguine. I asked for mild chilli and was told that the chilli had already been added to the prawns but that all...customers had been happy with the dish. It was moderately hot from the chilli, 4 prawns and a lot of olive oil. When ordering I had asked for some parmesan cheese on the side and when the meal arrived was advised by the same staff member that they had already added the Parmesan to my meal. There was absolutely no Parmesan in the meal so I asked another staff member for some, who came back and advised that they had 'run out ' of parmesan cheese. My friends chick pea salad was also very ordinary very poor value for .
Had great experiences here as a customer for lunch and having my 40th birthday celebration here. It is a beautiful hidden gem and the atmosphere is so peaceful. Its kid and animal freindly and has great food coffee and service. Love this place and...for my 40th was the perfect venue .
