Had lunch here today with my family for the first time and fair to say WOW the pho was amazing, the broth mixed with the tender beef was just Devine!!! Quick service mixed with friendly staff made it turn into a great lunch. Would go back for sure. View all feedback.
What Micaela Ruecker doesn't like about Tu Do Vietnamese:
Being a royal customer for 16 years and got kicked out because I asked for a four seated table for my sick child and 70 years old mum. I was told that because we didn’t have the forth person we weren’t allowed to sit on...that empty table. The female owner was extremely rude and said she was the owner and asked us to leave her restaurant. Being living in Canberra for 17 years, this was the first time I was treated so... I and my family (of 5) are regular customers of this place. we enjoy pho there. tonight I went to dinner alone. there were 3 empty tables of 2, I sat on one next to the exit. I asked myself to go to the other, but refused, so I went to pho can tho in belconen. pleasant! where is the customer service? you lost me and family as customers. we won again.
Simple decor, ok service, but amazing pho. I think this pho is one of the best I had in canberra. the other eat is in order to stay with phophony when I return.
We only come here for Pho as we tried other dishes, but were not impressed, with the exception of the pan fried chicken wings, which are crispy and rightly seasoned accompanied by a fish sauce and chilli sauce mixture as dipping sauce. The Pho for us is excellent with high quality beef and tasty beef balls. However, quite frankly we are not experienced Pho eaters so can't really compare with many others, but compared to one or two others, this Pho is far better.
Unfortunately very overrated, which is a big disappointment as Canberra is crying out for more good Vietnamese. The food is often over seasoned, over cooked and not congruent with the menu description. If you must go, skip the traditional Vietnamese dishes which are a far cry from authentic and stay in the vicinity of the peanut beef and satay chicken which offer some relief amongst an underwhelming selection.
Bad customer service. the personal is not friendly or accommodating to the needs of the customers. very blunt and unfriendly
