Suwan Thai Restaurant - Canning Vale

We visited this restaurant on a Wed night after deciding to go out for a meal at the last minute. Since we last visited this place it has changed ownership and although there were not many people in the restaurant.....it turned out to be a very nice meal. It was pretty quiet...maybe because it was midweek and a very cold night! The food was very tasty and fresh and the portions were generous. I would definitely go back to Suwan Thai.

We have struggled to find a decent Thai restaurant for so long so we were hesitant to try Suwan! But we are so glad we did the food is very flavoursome and decent sized portions. Staff are very friendly and takeaway is always tasty too

A husband and wife team who took over about two years ago. Small but charming in its own way.The food was beautifully cooked and presented well. A little out of the way but good for a local meal.Especially if you like Thai foodOzdreamer

This is one of those gems in the suburbs. Quiet and clean with a reasonably priced delicious menu. Fantastic service and all round great experience. BYO includes a very reasonable $1 corkage. Highly recommended.

We recently reserved a table for dinner on a Friday evening for 4 x persons and the wait staff were welcoming and helpful. The restaurant is well presented and decorated with Thai artefacts and memorabilia. We selected 3 x entrees to share - spring rolls, satay chicken and chicken wrap pandas leaves, all were delicious and accompanied by a side of green shoots and mixed sauce. For the main meal, we ordered 2 x curries and a stir fried noodle dish. The noodle dish was tasty and light but unfortunately, both the curries lacked the traditional Thai kick and bordered on the bland side. They was too much residual oil in the sauce and the sauce itself was very thin..ie: required to be thickened somewhat to infuse the flavour of the spices and vegetables. Also, the steamed rice serving is very small and in our opinion needs to be increased by 50% to make it a normally acceptable serve. The restaurant is well presentd, we'll run and comfortable for small to medium sized groups,,however the main meals do require a lift to ensure guests return and become regular clients.
