We went to this place as part of a day tour, and I'm not sure if vegan food is offered on the menu (we preordered a vegan meal so didn't see the options available on the menu), but they catered beautifully for us as we had given advance notice. A really yummy wrap, chips/fries (but proper chunky ones, not the usual fries) and a salad. Generous portions. And the location is lovely as well. Right near the beach. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Cape Tribulation Beach House Bistro:
After spending a beautiful day in Cape tribulation we stopped in at the Beach house bistro seeking an evening meal. we parked in the carpark and started walking down a path past hidden bungalows in dense tropical forest it felt like we walked for 20 minutes before we came across a large eating area. We ended up just having a beer and worst espresso there was a very limited menu for food so decided to check out the am... View all feedback.
It seems like the chefs may believe that "vegan" is a type of difficult dish from Asia and "vegetarian" is something Italian like linguini. We reluctantly accepted and tolerated the very bland food. It felt like we were living in a work of fiction.
We had a great experience dining at this restaurant. The service was excellent and the food was truly delicious. Although we did encounter some bugs, we attributed it to the restaurant's location in the rainforest.
Great place, really terrible eating. I guess if they only want a drink, then it will be 10/10 for location, but please don't limp salat and grilled fish with which they can own their boots. it's remote so I understand, but I'm fine. with a sandwich as a waste food that lands in the bin. chips were good, not good enough, harder. the staff was in order, and that you had to work with was terrifying.
I would give zero stars if I could! We organised our itinerary around getting across the ferry early as advised to avoid the rush and enjoy a leisurely drive through the Daintree Forest. We thought this would be a nice spot to have lunch and...then do a lot of stops on the way back to our camp as there is a lot to see. Unfortunately upon arrival at 12 noon, we were advised by a young lady, that she could not take our order for lunch until the 3 tour busses (that hadn’t arrived yet) had ordered….Really? There was no one else in the bar and they could have easily taken our order before the busses arrived…She did go on to recommend we go back down the road for lunch. I’m sure the owners of this bar/restaurant would not be happy with this advice? So we did take our business elsewhere as advised. Maybe they should change the open hours on the sign out the front to say “open from 12 unless a tour bus is present”
We came here on our last night's stay. It is a nice long walk from the carpark to the restaurant. The restaurant is located close to the beach, you can hear the surf, with a nice deck area. Bar is well stocked and the menu...is good, with extra specials. Staff are friendly. If you are not staying at the resort, you need to make a booking. Food was the best we had in Cape Tribulation, had steak and salmon specials, well cooked and delicious.
