This is the most upscale spot to enjoy a delightful and authentic Italian meal in Cardiff By The Sea. Every dollar spent at this establishment is well worth it. Seafood dishes are my favorite, especially the pasta with shrimp, clam soup paired with a glass of good wine, and the Positano lime tart for dessert.
I was disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The ambiance was pleasant, but the service was lacking. It took nearly 10 minutes for someone to take our drink orders, and it seemed like there was only one person working. Although the server was kind, the service was slow. Unfortunately, part of our order was overlooked and we were still charged for it. I had high hopes for the food, but it was just average. The bread was extremely hard and the homemade pasta was dry. Based on other reviews, it seems like it was just an off night. I understand the current challenges restaurants are facing, so I will consider this a missed opportunity.
This Italian restaurant in Cardiff is reliably authentic, with a few unique dishes on offer. Some of their pastas are even handmade. I visited with a large group, and while most of them were pleased with their meals, I found that my expectations were not quite met. The bruschetta I ordered was tasty but needed more balsamic, as I couldn't taste it. The pasta I chose was under-seasoned and only average in flavor. Despite this, I still enjoyed the overall experience and would probably return to try a different dish next time.
