Such a joyful experience. An exciting menu with careful and innovative taste combinations. We enjoyed every mouthful. Staff were very knowledgeable and passionate about the food being served. A lovely setting and recommend you visit this restaurant. We will be coming back. View all feedback.
We arrived at this restaurant on a Friday night without a reservation, but the staff were extremely accommodating considering how busy the restaurant was. There were no tables available so we were given seats adjacent to the bar which were fine. The food was absolutely...first class and there were some diverse dishes available which made a change from the standard fare usually on offer. The service was probably the best we have experienced in years and the staff were very attentive and friendly and made the whole experience very enjoyable.
We decided to try this restaurant after having visited one of its sister restaurants, La Cangreja in Cartagena. What a discovery! Really innovative and delicious food, which is also very good value for money. It was tough to choose what to order, but we tried...two starters (aubergine samosas and plantain fritters) and these were tasty and unusual. The mains we had were the bone marrow and steak tartare with hollandaise and truffle this is the dish appearing in the photos that is served in a huge bone, on a bed of charred pine, to give a slightly smoky flavour and the udon noodles with lobster. There are two desserts, so we had one of each. The apple pie is served with a fabulous peanut ice cream, while the chocolate taco has amazing mango ‘pearls’. We were so pleased we tried it, the food was excellent and totally unique. We were also pleasantly surprised by how reasonable the bill was for cooking of such quality. The lovely waitress was very patient with our attempts to practice our Spanish, which we appreciated greatly. Highly recommended and we can’t wait to go back.
I can only imagine that la palera is not higher in the reviews because people still discover this wonderful home of culinary delights. I like the hippy chic, that some of the restaurants in this opposite purvey, and la palera was another. the waitress was very attentive and seemed really satisfied when we commented on our pleasure of the dishes. my wife and I shared plantain with paprika and stylton. also samosas filled with aubergine. the aromen began to pop and zing, which really expected us from the following curses. we should not be disappointed with lobster udon, and a boner dish was slowly smoked with slimming color scenting it to follow soon. God could take us more of this taste sky. we made ourselves brave. popping and zing came with the desserts, ice with small poppets of mangos, and a apple dessert included in a glorious package of baked and a glaze of peanut butter. these chefs know how to feed their food. it was clever, unique and truly unforgettable. recommend, recommend, recommend
We were brought for lunch here by friends not knowing what kind of food we were going to have. I have to say it did not disappoint. The menu had everything, it was like sampling a tasting menu of the world. Asian, Mexican and Spanish...just to name a few. Everything was good. I really liked the Phad Thai dish and Tacos. But also the Cod cheek I think it was in baby gem. I will definitely be back. The staff were very nice and friendly and the location lovely.
Having grown in Cartagena, I am a big fund of paella and sea food. However it was nice to go to a place where you can eat something different. Great service, very good food. Great presentation and taste, everything we tried was great Cod,...duck, green curry, etc.
