Contribute FeedbackLocated at 62 Queen Street in Charlottetown, Gaia offers an extensive vegan menu praised for its variety, including standout vegan pizzas and satisfying dishes like jambalaya and vegan poutine. Patrons have enjoyed vibrant flavors, although some have noted inconsistencies, such as wilted ingredients and imperfect execution. The lively atmosphere, akin to a cafeteria, has drawn mixed reviews—some appreciate its brightness, while others seek a cozier setting. While service quality varied, the friendly staff demonstrated a commitment to hospitality. Overall, Gaia remains a noteworthy destination for health-conscious diners exploring vegetarian cuisine. After finding Stir it Up closed, we decided to try this place instead. The restaurant is very bright and offers a nice sunny spot for lunch, with the option to dine on their patio. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the burgers, which were quite big. While everything we tried was good, we were not impressed with the cauliflower bang bang compared to other places that serve cali bites. I attempted to order a chai latte from their menu, but the staff seemed to not understand the request. Instead, I ended up with a strawberry lemonade that tasted more like a fruit punch with pulp. The smoothie I ordered was delicious, though. If I lived in Charlottetown, I would likely visit this place regularly.
I visited Gaia's based on positive reviews but found it to be just okay, not great. I ordered a Tofu Reuben which had rotten avocado and had to be sent back. The Dragon Bowl was tasty, although it had old wilted lettuce at the bottom and only two small slices of tofu on top. The service was average, but the young girl at the front desk was on her phone the entire time I was there, even though I was the only customer during lunch time. The overall atmosphere felt like a cafeteria and lacked ambiance. While it was nice to have a straightforward vegan menu, I would prefer a smaller menu with a focus on quality and a cozier environment.
We dined at this restaurant twice during our three days on Prince Edward Island. They offer a wide variety of food options, ranging from Asian to Middle Eastern to classic American dishes. All of the menu items are vegetarian, with the option to be made vegan. The restaurant is known for their delicious bread and clean atmosphere. With such a diverse menu, it's easy to go back for multiple visits.
Incredibly friendly staff. She let us in before they even opened to look over the menu and take our order. They started making the food as soon as they opened at Noon time. It’s the best Vegan food in the city!
All vegetarian, mostly vegan. Lots of great options. Very nice ambience. Nearly perfect, but a few odd things such as pretty standard (i.e., not great) pita even though the chef grew up working at his mother's bakery in Lebanon. But really great overall.
