What upmost doesn't like about Bhn Garden Centre:
Went in cafe for lunch at 1.30pm. Very long queue which seemed to take a long time to get served. We had coronation chicken jacket potatoes with a coffee and a diet coke. The coke was from the display fridge but was not at all cold for some reason. seating area felt like a staff canteen and I found it very noisy. Food took a while to arrive and the baked potato was very overcooked. We went on to have a look around th... View all feedback.
Went for brunch, wasn't as busy as we thought it might be, food was good, coffee was hot whereas some places you go it gets cold quickly, had a look at the plants and bought a couple
We have been returning customers for a number of years but when we recently visited the coffee shop for lunch, it was a huge disappointment. The toasted sandwich is normally thick cut bread with a side of coleslaw, presented well with a salad. The sandwich was thin cheap bread, which looked like it had been thrown on the plate, there was not any coleslaw and the salad looked like it had been left out of the fridge for a few hours. On a positive note the latte we had was good and the sandwich fillings were ample and tasty and the service was good. However the price we paid for a mediocre lunch, which was badly presented, was too much and we would definitely think twice about returning..... such a shame!!
Overall poor food and service at the wrong price point. Was charged £50 for 3 kids lunches and 2 adults. Food was average at best which I wouldn’t mind but when you’re paying £8 for a baguette you’d expect something a bit more. Cofffee is awful, was so weak on my black coffee I could see the bottton of the mug. Asked if the coffee was always this week and was told a lot of people say that. Fair enough they added an extra shot but maybe need to look into further if it’s common feedback. Won’t be returning
Went today with my wife for a quick lunch. Bearing in mind it was already 13.15pm and the place wasn 't busy, we ordered 1 bacon and brie ciabatta and 1 fish fingers ciabatta and 1 portion of potato wedges. We waited for 45 minutes for our food to arrive; poorly presented, my wife 's bacon and brie ciabatta looked as if it had been run over by a bus (I know that in order to toast it they place it in a press but this was well and truly flat! . My fish fingers ciabatta consisted of 2 COLD and OVERCOOKED fish fingers in a barely cooked ciabatta with shredded iceberg lettuce and a bit of tartare sauce (bought in . The potato wedges were cooked and they were greasy. In all with 1 tea and 1 coffee they managed to charge me over £29!! Where on Earth do they price their food? If the food had it been enjoyable I would have gladly paid for it but this quick lunch left a very bitter taste in my mouth . Shame on you, you do not deserve the business! NEVER AGAIN
Very poor service in the cafe Abrupt and rude staff behind the counter . Very expensive for what it is . Shame nice garden centre
