Booked for a table of 16, great service and great food. All food is large portions so make sure you have enough room. I had the Bavarian tasting platter, too much for one (great to share) and everything on it was exceptional. Pork bun starters you have to try! Beers were great, and a large variety. Kids eat free on Sunday which was an added bonus. Overall a great experience, one I will repeat. View all feedback.
What Hester Mitchell doesn't like about The Bavarian:
Have been here a few times and the servings are quite large. Came here when they had the 50% off the set menu offer, and it was just ok. The choices of the set menu were limited. The apple strudel had obviously been cut in half, and served with melted ice cream so that was quite disappointing. I definitely would not have paid full price for the set menu, not worth $49. What’s not to like about about warm salty pretzels, 2 litre table top beers and giant slabs of crispy pork belly?<br/ <br/ Add in lots of big screen televisions and a menu that won’t break the bank and you’ve got a winner.
What a great place for a happy hour drink. We were shopping and exploring and happened to walk passed and see Happy Hour was on (from memory 3-5pm, but will confirm again on my next visit). Happy Hour Cocktail, beer and wine $5 each. It was Saturday afternoon, so we said, why not?Perching ourselves on the front high seats with barrels for tables, it was very pleasant sitting there watching shoppers walk by and chillaxing. Will definitely do it again!
Customer service is EVERYTHING.Jeremy and Darren (Manager and Bar Manager) were absolutely amazing. Stopped at nothing to help accommodate my husbands 29th birthday. When 'OpenTable ' could only make my booking for a couple of hours, these guys came through to make our Sunday session a wonderful experience. Surprise schnapps were the birthday topper! Thank you for helping and making this a day to remember!
The staff were very friendly and the food was really good! It is great that this place is in chermside, nice chill atmosphere. I will be back for sure.
On wednesday i went to the Bavarian with my mum, partner and my nana for the first time. I found it hard choosing a meal myself till my mum suggested the bavarian platter which was a mix of things that were nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful to us as well its nice atmosphere for something to grab eat.
