We had a short wait and the food is delicious. Our favorites are spare ribs in black bean sauce, steam bun with running yolk, and steam rice rolls with tofu. Recommend! View all feedback.
What Monroe Heaney doesn't like about Dolo Restaurant:
Too crowded, too noisy. In spite of having a reservation, we waited 45 min. Good food but not that different from other Chinese restaurants. I was expecting something more upscale. It is ordinary room with tables close together and noisy. not good for a relaxed dinner. View all feedback.
I took my friend from dinner. The waiter was accommodating with us and help her on food/menu options. The food was delicious and the value was worth it. The place was crowded and noisy and had to wait for 20 minutes for our table. Overall, my friend and I enjoyed the food and service.
Meh. Right out of the gate they didn’t have either the wine that I wanted or the beer that my husband wanted. The menu was difficult to understand. Lots of photos but what looked like an item that would be steamed rather than fried apparently was not. Maybe we were just unlucky. The restaurant warned us that the chicken dish that we were considering had bones but we had no idea that the pieces would be less than two inches and filled with tiny bones. Nothing had much flavor either. Just didn’t work got us at all.
They said they can't access online reservations so they couldn't find my reservation and I couldn't summarize any points!
Our party showed up in time, the manager informed us that they did not honour open table reservations. after a mild protest our party sat on one table for two from six. the restaurant was at least half empty with several large tables that sit empty when we are over the empty large tables, manager claims that they are for a group of 28 people on the way in, we would have to stay on our small two-person table. we thought that in view of the inconvenience of a table too small, a huge group close, and the kitchen tries to maintain with a 28 person group, it would be best if we just left. the manager seemed no interest in keeping us there. I can also not exclude cross-sectional profiling and racial discrimination. I / we will not return to dolo, much too many choices for our restaurant dollar.
If you are looking for good authentic Chinese, don't bother w Dolo, there are many other fine restaurants in the Chinatown area. Greasy, poor quality food; mediocre at best service; and, they are in serious need for a total update on the interior. Booth seating is very badly worn, many of table tops were damaged, peeling or missing wood veneer. Don't waste your time or money on this place. Their management ownership should be embarrassed.
