Marge's is the ultimate gem. The food is delicious and nutritious, and the drinks are spot on. With a wide variety of options on the menu, there is something for everyone to enjoy. The restaurant seemed a bit bland and lacked variety. The staff was efficient, so it seems management listened to feedback and made improvements to the service. However, the atmosphere felt monotonous and may have been influenced by the nearby area. There was a cold, unwelcoming feeling in the room. This place is beautiful and the drinks were good, but the lighting is very bright, which keeps this from a cozy neighbourhood spot. also the parking space in this neighbourhood is an nightmare, we had to park illegally and pray to the park gods.
Servers started walking around turning off lights and music at 9:30pm, even though the website states they are open until 1am. When we asked what was going on we were told they were understaffed and had other jobs to go to. There were four tables of people still in the restaurant. One server was walking around with her mask around her chin.
Gotta say I loved this place. Wanted to show some relatives what a Chicago bar experience was like and man I'm glad we came to this place. The staff was super friendly and attentive and the food was incredibly delicious. I highly recommend this place.
Great pot pie, world famous and for good reason! Great atmosphere too. A Chicago bar with that neighborhoody feel.
