The Rosebud on Taylor is a great place to bring out of town friends for an authentic Chicago restaurant experience. The food is classic Italian, and I highly recommend the veal in many different preparations (veal piccata is my favorite). Pork chop Calabrase was like hiding into hot wings with ghost peppers, phone completely in edible for my palate. The maître d’ was gracious enough to take it off of the tab. Everything else was wonderful. I recommend the carrot cake. View all feedback.

This is becoming one of our go-to restaurants when visiting Chicago. It is some of the best Italian we have had. I will say that the Rosebud on Rush is nowhere near as good. But this location has a nice, classic feel plus some top notch staff. I couldn’t find gnocchi on the menu as I had seen before. But our waiter asked the kitchen and they eagerly obliged.
