very pleasant staff. it was quite busy during our visit, but more for drinkers than diners. we arrived a little before 20 o'clock. I can't be shameless as amazing that was eating. the best halloumi fries ever. I have the most at each eating where possible. What User doesn't like about The Foundry:
I know it's a quiet area and the town is not busy at all but having a restaurant/pub your presentation and quantities needs more to be desired. I justpaid £18.50 what they called a platter. I am extremely disappointed will never buy food here again. View all feedback.
Very nice food but we were chsrged £7.40 for 2 coffees. 1 Latte and one simple black coffee. Didnt realise till home that this really was overcharged.
Amazing pub with friendly and professional team. Good food reasonably priced. Andrew was very helpful and made my friend’s birthday very special by playing happy birthday song during cake cutting. Highly recommended!
The Foundry is our usual stop en route to Goodwood. Normally not a problem. However on this occasion we were made aware by a regular of two tier pricing and overcharging. The regular was charged £5.75 for a Larger we were charged £6.75, a glass of wine £9.50 same wine and size someone else was charged £7.50. Also one of friends was charged £14.20 for a single gin and tonic, she questioned the price but was told that's what it is. We later found out it should of been £8.20!!!! The regular told us the pub over charges race goers all the time. Shocking!!!! Staff and especially the manager were very rude, for some reason wanted to serve regulars rather then in order of who was waiting. When we questioned the manager regarding the prices he said he would have a look but disappeared after 10 minutes we went looking for him and found him behind the bar serving other people. Asked why he did not finish dealing with our issue first just shrugged his shoulders and walked off. Terrible customer service. I will be taking this up with the brewery and the licencing authority Shame on you, and visitors please be aware and check what you have been charged.

This pub is great. Located near the train station, we popped in for a quick drink before catching our train. The atmosphere is friendly and the place is quite roomy, it seems to be a favorite spot for locals. Although we didn't have a meal, we noticed that many others were enjoying their food, which looked delicious and generously sized.
