The food here is always good and the owners are very accommodating. They do lots of special tastes with fresh herbs and sauces. Casual and relaxed atmosphere with excellent service. Fresh salads and appetizers. Their menu of the day is delicious and something you can count on. A solid wine list with diversity and good selection of Chinon wines. You can also get breakfast here. We especially like Thursday mornings when the farmers market is in the Joan D'Arc square... buy a fresh croissant at the market and have it here with delicious hot coffee and watch people shopping and loving life. Sundays are also nice.
It is difficult to find somewhere for breakfast in Chinon. After walking around the village centre we decided to go towards the Place Joan of Arc where we found this little gem. Our very obliging host prepared our breakfast of croissants, baguettes, grape juice, jam, butter and hot drinks. We sat outside under the trellis. It was just what we were looking for on a leisurely Sunday morning.
Your good hotel restaurant is an exceptional welcome. Stephanie the manager is upstairs. are local and home products, the restaurant displays very often complete.
If the chinon has many restaurants and good restaurants to satisfy the inhabitants and tourists, from breweries to gourmets, the inn of the treille is a traditional restaurant, apart from the dynamism and the franchise of its tenancière stephany as authentic and sometimes unexpected dishes that it prepares. Today, it was a generous apple pie and a black goat waiting for me at the entrance followed by a good soft blanquette then a distant Breton, all homemade and served at the desired rate. a (re)discover by going on the market Thursday (ps: excellent couscous on Thursday of the month) and other weekdays!
