What Loyce Hodkiewicz doesn't like about Edition Cafe:
Ok I don't understand what Edition is trying to be; Florist, restaurant or coffee shop. I have been there twice for Lunch and twice for takeaway coffee Issues The service is slow. At those prices I would expect it to be at a much higher standard. Wait times for takeaway can be very long quality is hit and miss. food is great one time and poor on return. Coffee was good once and then a cup of froth the second -the cen... View all feedback.
The waitress looking angry and the service is really unhappy, also the restaurant is dirty. I think they should change something because it is the worst cafe restaurant ever.
Went with my friend. Our food came out 20 minutes apart. He had finished his eggs before my Food even came out. And the quesadillas were pretty much Heinz baked beans on tortilla wraps. Not worth $21
Let's start with positives first: 1. They have a lot of food options on cabinets: sweet and savoury muffins, baguettes, cakes, pastries, etc. 2. We ordered Balanced Bowl which felt really healthy with different types of vegs and 2 poached eggs. It's very tasty. 3. They are using Campos coffee beans from Melbourne. My friend said tasted okay. 4. They have pretty big venue, suitable for group gatherings and also kid's section upstair. 5. Service was okay. Negatives: 1. (Refer to photo) Balanced Bowl wasnt big, medium size bowl - $22? 2. (Refer to photo) $16 for 2 medium size ricotta pancakes, a dollop of creme fraiche, a table spoon of rhubarb compote, 1 strawberry cut into 4, 4 thin slices of bananas and a bit of maple syrup. Presentation wasnt even appealing. Lucky the pancakes werent dry. 3. Coffee was too hot (burning). 4. They actually have a stunning, well designed interior and bright upstair, but it's filthy and off putting. I couldnt stand looking at dirty floor, crumbs on tables, dirts on dining sofas, lots of stains on kids stools (they shouldnt have used fabric material), and dirty high chairs (one was horribly dirty, I had to clean it many times). Obviously there are many rooms for Edition Cafe to improve. I would wait a while before going back here.

Why is this place scored so low? Best breakfast I've had in a good while. Herbed crumb egg on a really nice and crunchy rosti with great hollandaise. Coming back here for sure.
