Barrio Gateway - Cleveland

This taco place is our favorite. The drinks and food are delicious, and we always receive great service. We visit this spot every other week and enjoy the lovely atmosphere and reasonable prices. We have dined at both the downtown and Cedar Road locations, and they are both excellent.

We had a mixed experience at this restaurant. Our first visit was a disaster - it took over an hour to receive our five tacos, the sides were tiny, and the beer was warm by the time we got it. Our server disappeared and we had to pay cash because she was missing for 15 minutes. The second visit was much better - the service was excellent, our food arrived quickly and as ordered. The food is delicious, but be prepared to wait. I do not recommend this restaurant unless you are willing to wait for over an hour for a couple of tacos. We waited for so long that we ended up leaving.

We came today for pregame lunch and gave ourselves an hour and a half before the game. The waiter said they were behind and it would take about 30 minutes. We agreed that was ok. Folks that came in after us were served and we were still eating chips ! When one hour passed we asked about our food as he never updated us. He said we should be soon. Ten minutes after that, he said our order was lost under a stack of papers! Really? He just found that out? We had to leave and paid for chips and salsa, which may be free…I’m not sure. This place was recommended, but I give it a -5 stars if that was available. A big boo to this place.

We stopped in for quick food between a double header and we had to get our server twice and it made us miss 70% of the second game because we were there for almost an hour and a half. She only came to get our food and bring our check. Waited a half hour to be served. The manager was very friendly but staff needs to bring it up to par
