This is a small restaurant that can easily be sold out. Reservation is therefore highly recommended to avoid disappointment. The dining room provides a magnificent view of the Saint-Lawrence River. The food served uses the local products: nice fresh cod or halibut, little shrimps from the Saint-Lawrence River. The food is prepared by a food lover and brought to your table by a nice lady willing to answer your questio... View all feedback.
What Suellen Madeira dislikes about Restaurant-motel l'etoile du nord:
We ate here because we were spending a night in the motel. The took the table d' hote menu and started with shrimps, followed by cod seafood au gratin and finished with the desert of the day. We drank a local light red wine...which matched the fish and seafood very well. The price of the food and wine was very reasonable. The view to the bay was impressive with the diving Fou de bassan birds. View all feedback.
The kitchen is excellent and highlights the products of the market of the day in particular seafood and fish. the menu of the day offers classic or more original recipes for all tastes, and copyy plates. the place is charming with a magnificent view of the golf, as well as the owners. we highly recommend the restaurant. we were only passing by but hopefully return to stay there and enjoy the host table.
We took the host table going with the night at the motel. if the motel is no more (also with a very beautiful view), the restaurant is really excellent! I keep a memory of this mustard turbot net! the lunch the next morning was excellent as we warmly recommend eating on the spot if you sleep there and even if you don't sleep there!!
The best place we experienced on road 132. Fish was veerry fresh. Service good. Sea blue, green field, fresh air, drinks good, deserts more than good. prices acceptable. What else one may expect. Try. one must do.
We stopped for lunch and had a good time. home cooking makes a good place to market products and dishes taste good. The service is fast and smiling. a flat for the addition, which is a little more expensive than expected for this less tourist area.
Had read reviews and made sure we stopped on our trip through the spectacular Haute Gaspesie. This restaurant is somewhat isolated but well worth visiting. On the St Lawrence side of the road. Charming interior. Waitress/owner was very nice, and patient with my rudimentary Québécois French. It wasn't necessary: she speaks excellent English. Specials included cod (moudre), local trout, as well as lobster (houmard). I had the moudre roti (roasted), and my wife had moudre a la moutarde (in mustard sauce). Both perfectly prepared and delicious. Both in the range of 17.50 Canadian. Not pricey for the product. I would confidently recommend this restaurant.
