Restaurant Valahia - Cluj-Napoca

We visited as a family with two small kids 3 year old and less than a year) Everyrhing was perfect, the atmosphere, the food and the service. We wernt sure at the begining because the location and as it is just in front of the huge cemetery. But we didnt regret for a second. Let the personel recommend you the local food. For our tast they did a fantastic job. We said what kind of food we were looking for and their suggestions were a perfect fit.

We went to this restaurant because we thought to understand from its website that there would be live music on Thursday and Friday. That was not the case when we went, but perhaps we just misunderstood the website. In any case we had a great time. Traditional ambiance with pleasant music at a normal volume. A very nice change from the restaurants in the city center which often offer mostly Italian food for a higher price! There seem to be no main vegetarian dishes on the menu, but you can easily combine a number of garnishings like different kind of potatoes, grilled vegetables, cabbage rolls, beans, polenta, and salad; there is more than enough choice. Service was good and fast. Toilets were recently renovated. We will probably come back tomorrow!

The food was good, the service was fast, the waiter was friendly and the restaurant is nicely decorated in a Romanian traditional style.

Good traditional food, very large servings. Romanian food is not delicious, but here we we have the best dinner during our 2 week trip in Romania

I went to this restaurant because I had read some good reviews here on TripAdvisor. The food was delicious, but what was surprising there wasn't English menu. Fortunately the waiter was really helpful and he speaks English. I'll revisit this restaurant with a pleasure!
