I wanted breakfast while my car was being serviced. I wandered into Home Sweet Home. They made the best coffee and toast I have ever had - the sour dough bread was superb, accompanied by the Rhubarb jam which was delicious and the staff so helpful and obliging. Atmosphere of the place great. You can sit on the verandah or inside in an olde worlde atmosphere where the staff talk with you. Very highly recommended and w... View all feedback.
What Ellie L doesn't like about Sweet Home Cobargo:
I drop into this cafe occasionally, on my work route and love their coffee. Last week I had a salad for lunch as well. It was clear from the taste and look of the salad that it was not freshly made. The beetroot had bled into the meat and the smell and taste were stale, with that overnight fridge smell. I was dining in and it was served in a takeaway container, whilst my partner had proper crockery. Obviously pre-mad... View all feedback.
During our weekend getaway by the coast, we stopped by this pub and were impressed by the excellent service from the staff and the delicious, generous meals. It was definitely worth the stop. The town itself is a charming and friendly place.
I recently spent two nights at the Cobargo Hotel Motel. The staff was excellent, the accommodations were lovely, and the food was fantastic. I couldn't find a single fault with my stay. Plus, it's just a 20-minute drive to the stunning Bermagui Golf Course.
We waited outside on the narrow path to order through the window, which wasn't too bad. However, once we discovered there were people sitting inside at tables as well as a few on the verandah, we decided to sit inside to escape the cold wind. When we inquired about signing in, since we don't have a smart phone, we were told the restaurant didn't have a tablet or alternative method for signing in. When I mentioned that I thought there was a requirement for an alternative method for those without the appropriate mobile phone, the waitress responded saying they were a small bushfire affected business. This response puzzled us as it didn't seem related to providing a sign-in method. Consequently, we ended up sitting on the windy verandah. We would have asked for a refund and left, but we had already received our coffees. Despite the unpleasant encounter with the staff, the food was actually quite delicious.
Had an amazing lunch. Super size and very reasonably priced! Staff were very welcoming, friendly and efficient! Look forward to going back again!
