The restaurant was very busy when we came into the restaurant and the hostess warned us that there could an hour's wait. We didn't mind waiting as this would give us time to visit with our friend from Collingwood. The breakfasts were worth the wait! What Giovanny Bode doesn't like about Old Red Hen Restaurant:
Stopped for lunch here on July 28, 2017 during the Elvis Festival in Collingwood. The restaurant was fairly busy but we were seated quickly. Service was quite slow and the food was mediocre. Definitely overpriced as well. Wouldn't eat here again. View all feedback.
We came back on an October weekend and the experience was completely differentIt was very busy so we had to wait in line for a table.
Came to Collingwood for our son's golf tournament and decided to go for breakfast In Collingwood there really isn't many places to enjoy a meal.
We came to the Olde Red Hen for breakfast on a Thursday morning in August, we parked right out front and got a parking ticket. Which had nothing to do with the restaurant. We went in and my husband ordered the shipyard breakfast which had steak bacon ham sausage for $14.99. I ordered a generic two egg with toast and sausage breakfast. It was $9.49 which was at least $3 overpriced in my opinion for what we received. The coffee's were $3.89 each. Which was outrageously ridiculous considering it was not the best coffee around. Your coffee definitely should be included when you're paying $10 for a generic breakfast . The server was great and efficient. For the two breakfasts and two coffees it came to $35 plus tip. A little pricey for a Thursday morning basic breakfast. Wouldn't go back simply because of the price.

That is disheartening...every customer should be treated with respect.
