We were in Milwaukee for a convention and noticed that Pier 106 was the only seafood restaurant around so decided to give it a try. Its right on the Riverwalk so a great location especially for those who like to sit outside (we didn't). We had great service and our meal was very good. We enjoyed an appetizer of mussels & clams which had white sauce over them - sauce reminded me of New England clam chowder - very... View all feedback.
What Dovie Roberts doesn't like about Pepper Tree Restaurant:
Went for Downtown Dining Week. This restaurant was on the $35 list, however service was significantly below that level. There was a long wait between courses, but plates were not cleared off the table until the next course arrived. Our server appeared very disinterested in our table. It also took a long time for drink orders to be delivered. New silverware was not provided and I was explicitly asked to remove my... View all feedback.
Moderate noise, but only because they were busy! Food and service was great as usual
The service was the worst we've had in many years. We've been going to Pepper Tree since the late We sat down and we waited for minutes and no one came to take our drink order. The wait staff came and took our drink order after we notify them that we have not been asked. Also, our orders were not delivered correctly and the meat temperature were incorrect for of guest at our party. We were very disappointed with the overall dining experience
Appetizers, entrees, dessert all very good. Also a very extensive wine list. Small intimate place and a nice nighttime view. I would highly recommend for a special intimate occassion
I love the Pepper Tree and have been going there for years. I took my boyfriend there for his birthday and was disappointed. We both ordered the pepper steak but he wanted his medium well and it was well done, even more than over done. The waiter and manager apologized and made it right on our bill but it was disappointing. The restaurant was not that busy so I was confused why the steaks were ignored. The Pepper Tree also changed their chutney sauce. The waiter explained why and that the chef was making his own but it still is not the same and not as good as the original. The shrimp cocktail, salad and bread pudding were all good
My parents were visiting from out of town to celebrate my birthday. I’m so glad my friend, Brian, recommended pepper tree because it was truly one of my favorite dining experiences in Colorado Springs. I loved the view, the table side service, and the incredible food. I will definitely be back again
