My friend and I had a lovely lunch at Holts Cafe. I highly recommend the avocado toast! The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We throughly enjoyed the afternoon. I have already made a reservation for the afternoon tea. View all feedback.
What Jamir Beatty doesn't like about Holts Café - Bloor:
"Old school" steakhouse with minimal frills, so the food has to be shiny! The food was solid, the waitress struggled and our total time in the restaurant was close to 90 minutes - way too slow considering they weren't busy.
We tried regular menu points and no complaining about eating, burger, pommes were good. chicken finger for lid looked overcooked/burned on the outside. the biggest disappointment was armani afternoon tea. the hearty selection was quite average, then there was a animal of scenes again average items on high tea menus and from the sweet selection there were chocolate square cake, mousse dessert in a cup and tiramisu in small tea cup all 3 desserts were similar to each other. tee selection do not have the tees that we originally selected: cream from ohrengrau and ingwer. this experience is not worth the money and if they call high tee an exclusive event and mark it under armani, they have definitiw much space for improvements.
They need to learn how to make ice cream. I was handed over a cold glass of water with a tee bag on it!
The brunch may be on the pricey side, but the excellent service and atmosphere more than make up for it!
Staff was warm and welcoming, service was very prompt and food was excellent! My scrambled eggs were soft and creamy and not dry at all, bacon perfectly crisped and the truffle fries totally addicting! Our corner spot was great and even with lots of people it wasn’t overly loud and noisy. It’s the ideal Sunday brunch really!
Developed with the quality of food from their lunch menu, but good service and ambience.
