La Corne d'Or - Corenc

Food was decent, especially the scallops and madeleines; view is naturally impressive. Negatives: Communication with restaurant to reserve and plan, especially for our large event 30 guests , was too infrequent and not particularly helpful we had to ask all the questions; menu options and offers were not clearly provided without explicit request. Service was mediocre: reception was shy and uncommunicative. Generally too few servers for guests. Especially disappointing, the service as a group was significantly worse than what I would ever hope as a couple. Wine was never individually served, dishes were never 'presented ' with their name and ingredients, kids were not offered drinks until they asked though we paid the standard menu price. Dessert: no chocolate served, not even with our coffee 8 Everyone agreed, this restaurant LOST 30 recommendations; afterall, the view is seen just driving through Corenc and the food was nothing rare

I took my family there on a Sunday lunch which turned out great. The wine choice is limited but good, I recommend highly the White Auxey Duresse, excellent and reasonably priced. The food was creative and excellent, though I thought themeless curd sauce for the veal was a bit too much.

The view across the valley is breathtaking, along with the food. Great value, fixed lunch menu during the week. The restaurant is very modern with a panoramic glass wall to take in the scenery. Staff are friendly and efficient and the food is served quickly....More

Nice place and good view of the French Alps. Food was not fantastic, wine was OK. The main issue is that although the weather was quite hot and we asked for, no air condition was turned on. The result - horribly hot and unpleasant.

New owners at this trendy restaurant and a place to experience as soon as you can. Every meal a gustatory experience : a harmony of seasons vegetables, textures, colours, savors ! Simply blown away. We couldn't find anything to complain about, the food modern, light and refined, sophisticated wine selection for an all round tasting with perfect accord and a lovely, polite but natural staff. We will rush back at the next opportunity ! I don't know why they don't have a Michelin star yet, they definitely deserve one. And have I mentioned the location with the view ...?
