El Calderon Chamame Bar - Corrientes

This wonderful little place in Corrientes is run by Fabiana and Mario, who share an absolute passion for Chamamé and everything to do with it. We were lucky enough to be there on the night of the bar's first birthday, when a selection of superb local musicians kept us entertained until the small hours. The menu wasn't extensive but the food was good and there was an adequate wine list. The main attractions were the intimate atmosphere, the superb music and the warmth and friendliness of the owners. Fabiana and Mario are excellent musicians themselves, and regularly book other acts. Well worth a visit if you're in Corrientes and enjoy chamamé!
