Guests have enjoyed friendly, attentive service, complemented by a welcoming atmosphere. However, a few reviews point towards a need for renovation, improved communication regarding kitchen hours, and consistency in menu items. While some visitors experienced minor hiccups, the overall sentiment leans heavily towards delight, with many eager to return. The presence of a friendly pub dog adds a unique touch, contributing to a relaxed dining experience that is sure to be memorable.
This small pub is really nice. The food is excellent, as well as the service and atmosphere, receiving a rating of 5 for each.
I dined at this restaurant last week and thoroughly enjoyed the hanging belly pork kebab that I ordered. I would recommend trying it! The only downside was the inadequate secure parking available. You are required to park on the street near the venue, which is not ideal. Overall, I would give the food a rating of 5 out of 5. Price per person is around £30-40.
The restaurant has a beautiful venue with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, featuring a combination of wood and coal fire aromas. The staff are very polite. However, vegetarians should check the menu before coming as there are limited choices available. The Italian bomb starter was delicious and full of flavor, while the garlic mushrooms with melted cheese were rich and fantastic. The hanging kebab was overpriced for the amount of meat received, and the naan bread that came with it was not useful as it crumbled easily. The teriyaki halloumi, on the other hand, was faultless according to my partner. Overall, it was a pleasant visit and I would return, but I would avoid ordering the kebab next time.
Food was lovely, staff really friendly, and the owners dog. omg what a lovely dog . Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
Lovely, quirky dining pub, and when in the conservatory or outside, there are great views over the countryside. In autumn, the cosy area around the log fire is great. Starve yourself before coming here though as food portions are huge! Price per person: £10–20 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
